Angel of Hope Wellness Center Office Temporarily Closed

Due to the sluggish economy and the intensity of my CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) Chaplain studies, I have made the difficult decision to close the Angel of Hope Wellness Center office for the time being. At present, I am in the process of meeting with area therapists regarding sharing office space on a part-time basis.  Please check back on this blog for more information regarding my office and appointments.

If you are a Angel of Hope Wellness Center client and are in need of my professional services, please phone or email me as you have done in the past.  My office phone number - (414) 541-HOPE (4673) has been transferred to my cell phone, so I can still receive your calls and messages.  Or, you may email me at:  drterry@angelofhope.net.  If it is an emergency, you can email me at:  drcheski@angelofhope.net  -- which goes directly to my cell phone.  However, since I am in the hospital from approximately 7:00 am to about 5:30 pm (sometimes later), I am not always able to take calls as they come in; but I do check for messages periodically throughout the day and evening. While I no longer have my own office, we can work something out -- either a house-call or other office space -- to meet.

CPE training is quite intense, but this unit will be completed on December 20th.  The soonest the next unit would begin will not be until February, 2011, and possibly not until September, 2011, so I will have some time before the next intensive training starts. Please, do keep me in your prayers as I add this newest dimension to my ministry of hope and healing.

God bless you all!

Effective this Tuesday, September 7th, due to the promptings of The Holy Spirit, my ministry is taking a new direction.  I have been accepted into the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center as a "Clinical Pastoral Intern" and this Tuesday, I will begin intensive chaplain training at St. Luke's Medical Center, West Allis Memorial Hospital, St. Luke's South Shore, and Sinai-Samaritan Hospital. Therefore, I will not be available for daytime office appointments at Angel of Hope Wellness Center from September 7th through December 20th (the end of the first unit of my chaplain training). SPRING CLEANING TIME -- FOR YOUR BODY!

It's beginning to feel more like spring will finally be here soon -- the tulips and daffodils which my son and I planted last fall are starting to pop up and the snow is starting to disappear. Easter is only weeks away and the days are getting warmer. Daylight Savings Time will begin this coming weekend and the days already seem longer. It's such a hopeful time of year! It's also the time of year when we start thinking about spring cleaning. From a health perspective, a good spring detox is something to consider. I just received the information below about a new detox product which shows a lot of promise. Read the Chelation Health Products description and protocol below and give me a call or email if you would like to give it a try.

Stem Detox
Established a new "Detox and Anti-Germ" class within Food Supplements

Proper detoxification slows down the rate of aging on a cellular level and lowers the risk for all diseases. StemDetox establishes a new category among the detoxification / cleansing products with its anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, circulatory support and weight-loss properties. StemDetox is innovative, safe and effective and transforms detoxification as we know it today.

StemDetox achieves full-body cellular detoxification and overall cleansing by aiding the seven channels of elimination: the liver, lungs, colon, kidneys, blood, skin, and lymphatic system. It also supports the two phases of the liver’s complex detoxification mechanisms (Phase I and II).

Highly toxic mercury and lead inhibit the key white blood enzyme myeloperoxidase, an enzyme that produces hypochlorite ion. Since this is the body’s main defense against Candida yeast1 it is difficult to solve Candida yeast problems unless the toxic metals are removed first. StemDetox not only eliminates heavy metals but also has the strongest natural anti-fungal ingredients (garlic, caprylic acid, grapefruit seed extract, oil of oregano, serrapeptase). Most people want to lower their toxic heavy metal load for improved heart and circulatory benefits or to avoid by-pass surgery. However, a Swiss study showed the cancer preventative effects by concluding that those who removed the toxic metals achieved a 90% reduction in cancer mortality over an 18 years period

StemDetox is the first detoxification product that contains a systemic, proteolitic enzyme ingredient (Serrapeptase). Systemic (proteolytic) enzymes can enhance detoxification and reduce inflammation and swelling, digest scar tissues, blood clots and cysts, improve varicose veins and arthritis, guard against fibrosis and improve fibrocystic breast disease, modulate the immune system, block the release of pain in inflamed tissues and even fight off viruses or turn around Type 1 diabetes

Enzymes also increase the effectiveness of other ingredients, allowing a lower dose to have superior results. This makes StemDetox highly efficient. Systemic enzymes also reduce the occasionally experienced die-off (Herxheimer reactions).

Even if a great detoxification protocol is followed, large amounts of fat soluble toxins remain in the fat cells, unless weight-loss is concurrent with detoxification. People often get sick when they loose weight because they flood their body with newly released toxins. StemDetox is the first and only product on the market that opens up fat cells while actively eliminating toxins from the body, resulting in weight-loss.

StemDetox supports the extra effort of the heart and circulatory system. Naturally, full-body detoxification requires the opening up of the capillaries (tiny blood vessels) for a profound, cellular detoxification. Otherwise areas of the body with poor circulation couldn’t be detoxified. StemDetox is the first detoxification product that enhances microcirculation.

Another first: StemDetox’s brain protective ingredients have important synergistic effects to guard the brain from neurotoxins that might be elevated at any detoxification.
Detoxification requires extra energy, and StemDetox is the first detoxification product that has energy boosting ingredients to aid the mitochondria, the energy producing centers of cells (CoQ10).

StemDetox also increases the number of circulating stem cells in the blood, however, not to the degree as a special stem cell booster. A detoxified bone marrow can produce more stem cells over time.

Detoxification is more effective if disease-causing agents (bacteria, viruses, yeast, and parasites) don’t burden the body. StemDetox contains anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic ingredients. Since parasites have the potential to store large amounts of toxins, their elimination reduces the overall toxic load.

It is a well known fact that stomach ulcers are caused by a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori. But it’s not widely known that Chlamydia pneumoniae, has recently been linked to heart disease. Doctors are consistently finding the same Chlamydia in arterial plaque removed from coronary arteries

Furthermore, researchers found the same Chlamydia bacterium in the autopsied brains of seventeen out of nineteen Alzheimer’s patients.

Recent research verified the link between hepatitis B and C and liver cancer, and studies have confirmed that herpes virus 8 is the cause of Kaposi’s sarcoma (another type of cancer).

Moreover, population studies point out the so far unexplained sudden spread of MS in regions where there were no previous cases. Even the ‘incurable’ Crohn’s disease is now associated with a yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae8. Type 2 diabetes responds strongly to the four anti-fungal approaches: the removal of toxic heavy metals; the reduction (or elimination) of sugar (fungus strives on sugar); reduction or elimination of wheat in the diet (there is extremely toxic fungal aflatoxin in wheat); and to anti-fungal products.

Throughout history more people have died of infectious diseases than from any other cause. According to the ‘New Germ Theory’, the leading cause of death worldwide continues to be infectious diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s, herpes, diabetes and MS (although mainstream medicine does not openly discuss new medical discoveries). StemDetox is the first and only detoxification / cleansing product that recognizes the key role infectious agents play in chronic diseases.

Suggested Use
There are 90 capsules in a StemDetox bottle. Take one capsule two times daily for the first five days, then two capsules two times daily for the next five days and three capsules two times daily for minimum two months, plus an extra month for every ten years you exceed 50 (two months up to 50, three months up to 60, etc.). People tend to accumulate more toxins as they age. For maintenance: take one capsule two times dail. Preferably take it separate from food with a full glass of water.

Unpleasant die-off symptoms (Herxheimer reactions) at the beginning of detoxification, such as flu-like symptoms, headache and tiredness are rarely experienced. However, if they do occur, reduce the number of capsules taken daily or take a break for a day or two and increase the number of capsules again at a comfortable level. Consumption of extra water, systemic enzymes and (powdered) charcoal can all reduce any die-off symptoms.

Keep closed in a dry place. Do not refrigerate. Take it at least 30 minutes before or one hour after consuming food. Pregnant women, hemophilic patients and those who have a risk of hemorrhage should not take StemDetox. After detoxification, consider increasing your stem cell count to achieve superior health with our adult stem cell boosting supplement.

You Can Change Your Lifestyle
As you detoxify, drink more filtered water than usual for better elimination of toxins. Eat healthy foods and eat more raw fruits and vegetables, preferably organic. Take your daily multivitamins, multiminerals, omega 3 oils, and probiotics (or ‘organic’ bio-yoghurt). The beneficial Lactobacillus bacterium is very important to replenish the bacterial flora in the gut. Keep your blood sugar level low by reducing sugar and wheat in your diet. Eat less than what you desire since calorie restricted diet is one of the best way to slow down aging. Avoid red meat and trans-fat. Keep your healthy weight. Don’t forget the basics: your daily exercise and 7-8 hours sleep. Detoxification should be extended into your whole life since body, mental and spiritual health are inherently linked. Detoxify your visual input by watching less TV and by avoiding violent movies (which can depress your immune system). Reach out to others who are less fortunate. Pick up a new hobby that would enrich your life. Love more and forgive those who hurt you. Meditate and say your daily prayers. Be thankful for what you have. Go out to nature and marvel at the beauty of our world.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE "SWINE FLU"/A H1N1 VIRUS

For months, we have been bombarded daily with news reports about the so-called "Swine Flu" and people panicking over the availability of the vaccine. As a naturopath, I have never endorsed or recommended seasonal flu vaccines and do not recommend the vaccine for the H1N1 virus now either. While the controversy rages, I was introduced to this series of YouTube videos ("BELL TOLLING FOR THE SWINE FLU")produced by a Benedictine nun, Sister Teresa Forcades, who is also a former practicing M.D. with a PhD in Public Health. The series of 6 videos are so important that I felt the need to share it with everyone possible (see the link below). Each video is between about 7-9 minutes long. Please ... BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING TAKING THE "SWINE FLU" SHOT, take the time to listen to all 6 videos and learn about the seriousness of what is happening throughout the world ... And, it is not the "swine flu" that you should fear...

OUR NEW OFFICE IS OPEN & NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

We're very pleased to announce that the new Angel of Hope Wellness Center is open and now accepting new clients.

If you have been searching for a holistic health practitioner who is able to treat the mind, the body, and the spirit -- you have found that practitioner. Just phone the office at: (414) 541-HOPE (4673) or email Dr. Terry Cheski: AngelHope4U@aol.com to make an appointment for counseling, coaching, hypnosis, or naturopathic/natural health care. Office hours are flexible and we can work around your schedule - days, evenings, and most Saturdays. Unlike most other physicians and therapists, you can expect to spend sufficient time with Dr. Cheski to evaluate your needs and treatment, without feeling rushed. Plan on spending about 2 hours for your first visit, and about 1 hour for each session thereafter.

ALCAT Allergy/Sensitivity Testing now being offered

Up until now, Angel of Hope Wellness Center has not been equipped to do the blood draws necessary for the most comprehensive lab tests for food and environmental allergies and sensitivities. After an exhaustive search of local and other labs, we've finally found ALCAT Worldwide/Cell Science Systems. And they offer a mobile phlebotomy service so our clients can benefit from the convenience of having their blood drawn in the Angel of Hope Wellness Center office, their own home, or work.

For over 20 years, the ALCAT Test has provided healthcare professionals with a tool to successfully manage a wide variety of conditions that result from food and chemical intolerance.

Test Results and Rotational Diet

Only the ALCAT Test has been proven to be accurate in identifying the relevant foods and substances associated with the many types of chronic inflammatory and metabolic disorders. The ALCAT Test is convenient (one blood sample can be used to assay up to 250 foods and substances) and relatively inexpensive. What's more important is that it works, thus taking the guess work out of therapeutic dietary planning.

The test results include a customized 4-day rotational diet plan and a helpful "foods to avoid" list when patients test positive for food intolerances.

Inflammation and chronic activation of the immune system has been linked to:

  • Digestive Disorders
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Obesity
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Aching Joints
  • Skin Disorders
  • Autism
  • And many more ...

Food Intolerance

Many years ago, Lucretius expressed the basic concept for the ALCAT Test. He stated, "One man's meat is another man's poison." Now more than ever, diet plays a critical role in preventing a wide range of degenerative diseases and premature aging.

The immune system is a double-edged sword. It should react appropriately and protect against infection when confronted with harmful invaders or "infectious agents" like viruses or bacteria. Unfortunately for some, exposure to common foods, chemicals and molds may trigger chronic activation of the immune system.

History has shown that variety in the human diet is very important to health and wellbeing. We believe Hippocrates was right over 2,500 years ago when he said, "Let food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food."

Phone or email Angel of Hope for more information about the ALCAT Test and to make an appointment to begin the process of putting an end to many of your chronic health problems.

The new Angel of Hope Wellness Center is officially open for business!

As planned, we saw our first client in the new office on Friday afternoon. If you have been waiting for Angel of Hope to re-open, you need wait no longer! Feel free to phone (541-HOPE) or email me to make your appointment.
Video Walk-Throughs of the New Office
Nick composed some great video walk-throughs of the office building, the first one is a walk-through from the parking lot to the handicapped/rear entrance. The first video is a bit large so for those of you on dial up connections, it might take a while to load. The second video is from the building's front door to our office door. The third video is of the suite next door to ours, which we HOPE to find someone to share with us! Who do YOU know who would be interested in sharing space with us?

RELIEF! WE'RE FINALLY MOVED-OUT OF THE OLD OFFICE!

Finally .... Moved-Out and We're Exhausted!
After more than a week of packing, lugging, loading and unloading until all hours of the early morning, Nick and I finally completely finished moving out of the old office on 9th & Oklahoma at about 11:00 Saturday morning. We spent several all-nighters last week with absolutely no sleep, moving things into the new office on 94th & Beloit Road. The elevator in the new building was a tremendous help. If you tried phoning us last week and last weekend, you probably got our answering machine or voice mail because our bodies ultimately demanded rest. Most of the past week and weekend are still a blurrrrrrrrrrr.
Still Settling-in
As of today, we're still trying to get things settled into the new office -- no easy task trying to fit furniture and other supplies from approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of office space into less than 300 sq. ft.! We have been finding it necessary to remove things that once served a purpose in former offices because there is simply no space for them now. It's been quite frustrating, and in a manner of speaking, the move is not yet complete because we are still trying to determine how to make the most important items somehow fit into two small rooms and take the rest home or to storage (which is also nearly full too). There were about 20 boxes of books alone (I kid you not!) and I no longer have the wall of bookshelves. Because we cannot just put things away where they belong, it is taking much longer to get settled-in and have the office ready to resume seeing clients. We have temporarily moved some of the furniture into the suite next door so we have some room to move around. As of today, we're still maneuvering around boxes, bins, and bags!
Poor Nick!
Poor Nick has been moving furniture back and forth -- when I tell him "Nick, I have an idea..." the poor guy starts getting worried because it usually means I want him to move something -- a box, bin, or piece of furniture .... yet again! Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without him. He really deserves more than a medal!
Who do you know.........?
The larger suite directly next door (#102) is becoming a serious goal. It has more than twice the space as the present office, but the rent is $300/month more than the new office. While it's not an impossibility, it is not doable at this time.... unless we get some help.
Here are the options:
  1. Raise my fees to bring in enough money to pay the higher office rent. These are hard economic times for many people and I would rather not make it any more difficult for people to get the care they need. Still, this may become necessary if #2 or #3 below are not accomplished (soon).
  2. Increase the number of paying clients -- Who do you know could benefit from the services provided at Angel of Hope Wellness Center? Have you been thinking about scheduling or rescheduling that appointment? Make that appointment now!
  3. Take on an associate to share office space and expenses. This could be a great option and also enable Angel of Hope to increase the services provided. Again, who do you know would be a good addition to the Angel of Hope Wellness Center?

Scheduling Sessions Begining Friday, April 24th

The office may not be entirely finished by Friday, but we are committing to have it at least ready enough to resume seeing clients by this Friday. If you have been waiting to schedule or reschedule your appointment, wait no longer! Bills have to be paid and we can wait no longer to resume business. Come see our new office!

Although we do not (yet) have the spaciousness of our former office, I think you'll like the new location with plenty of parking, an elevator, (shared) conference room & lounge, professional building in a safe and attractive neighborhood.

As of yesterday, my name was not yet on the interior and exterior signs, but they should be posted soon. As a reminder, we are in SUITE #104, on the lower level (1st floor), the 3rd door east of the elevators on the north (front) side of the building. The original plan was to move into suite #108 as soon as it is remodeled (in the next month or so). And we still intend to do so unless we find some way to up-size into #102 instead. However, suite #102 also needs extensive remodeling; so we will most likely be working out of a two-room office for at least the next couple of months.

I'll be posting pictures of the new office on this blog soon, so do check back often.

HOLDING OUR BREATH FOR SMOKE-FREE AIR IN WISCONSIN

As you have probably seen or heard on the news, Wisconsin is once again considering making public places smoke-free.
Two organizations -- "SmokeFree Wisconsin" and "Campaign for Tobacco-free Kids" -- are working hard to educate people across the state not only about the dangers of smoking, but also the dangers of second-hand smoke. Neighboring states and even some Wisconsin cities have already gone smoke-free. And it is definitely time for the entire state to take a stand for health by passing legislation which will assure everyone the ability to breathe smoke-free air. Now is the time to make our legislators aware that the people of Wisconsin need and deserve healthy air quality, inside and outside.

Please read and sign the petition on the "Holding Our Breath" website by this Thursday, April 16th. And do forward the petition and website link to all your friends, family, and acquaintances:

Although my late husband never smoked a day in his life, he died one month ago tonight of "small cell metastatic lung cancer." At least 90% of those diagnosed with this type of cancer were heavy smokers or were victims of second-hand smoke. This is a very aggressive type of cancer. Often, by the time it is diagnosed it is pretty much too late to even begin treatment. Untreated, the prognosis is only 2-4 months; 4-6 months with immediate aggressive treatment. By the time he was diagnosed, the cancer had already spread throughout his body -- lungs, lymph nodes, liver, colon, and possibly brain. There was no trace of cancer when he was hospitalized in December, 2007, after a serious auto accident. He worked in a chemical factory for 18 years, but this type of cancer is like a ticking time bomb that may not show up for years. When it does show-up, it spreads (metastacizes) with a vengeance.
Since at least 90% of those with this type of cancers are heavy smokers or live or work with large amounts of second-hand smoke, it is the type of cancer which in most cases can be prevented!
We must take action NOW! Sign the petition, share it with others, be informed, phone or email your state senator, and show up at hearings.
Below is a fact sheet from the "Holding Our Breath Wisconsin" website. It is also available in .pdf format on the website.
Holding Our Breath For A Smoke-Free Wisconsin!

Everyone who lives and works in Wisconsin deserves the same basic protections from secondhand smoke. Despite twenty years of scientific research proving that secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard, and the success of comprehensive smoke-free laws across the country, workers and customers across Wisconsin are still exposed.

Secondhand smoke is a major health hazard.
Ø The 2006 Surgeon General’s report declared the debate is over and the science is clear. Secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard that causes premature death and disease in nonsmoking adults.
[i]
Ø Hundreds of studies and dozens of distinguished scientific and medical organizations have concluded that secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard that causes lung cancer, heart disease and serious respiratory illness in nonsmokers.
Ø The scientific evidence on the health risks associated with secondhand smoke is massive and conclusive and the only way to protect people is to eliminate their exposure.
[ii]

We all have the right to breathe smoke-free air.
Ø Food service workers have a significantly greater risk of dying from lung cancer than the general public, due in part to their continuous exposure to secondhand smoke at work.
[iii] No one should have to choose between a job and good health.
Ø Bar and restaurant workers deserve the same protection from secondhand smoke that many office workers already enjoy.
Ø Evidence from smoke-free communities shows smoke-free policies improve restaurant and bar workers’ health. Within several months of going smoke-free, Madison bartenders saw a significant reduction in respiratory symptoms like wheezing, cough and eye/nose irritation - symptoms that may be warning signs of serious conditions such as lung or heart disease.
[iv]
Ø Protecting our right to breathe clean air is a health and safety issue and should be no more optional than ensuring our food, water and public facilities are safe.

It’s time for Wisconsin to join the numerous other states that have gone smoke-free.
Ø Twenty-five states and Washington D.C. have approved statewide smoke-free laws that cover all restaurants and taverns.
Ø Smoke-free legislation covering all restaurants and bars was recently enacted in Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa and South Dakota (eff. 7/09), leaving Wisconsin further behind.
Ø Over 16,500 municipalities are now protected by a state or local smoke-free law covering all workplaces, and/or restaurants, and/or bars. This represents 70% of the U.S. population!

Wisconsin is ready to enact a comprehensive statewide smoke-free law.
Ø The Surgeon General has concluded that eliminating smoking in indoor spaces is the only way to fully protect nonsmokers from exposure to secondhand smoke.
Ø Over two-thirds (69%) of Wisconsin voters support a law that makes all workplaces and public places, including all restaurants and bars, smoke-free.
[v]
Ø The WI Restaurant Association is working to protect the people who patronize and work in their industry—they have endorsed a statewide smoke-free law with no exemptions.
Ø The American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Lung Association and other leading Wisconsin health advocacy groups support a comprehensive smoke-free law that includes all restaurants and taverns.

THE BIG MOVE IS NEARLY FINISHED!

After many hours of wrapping and packing, KAD movers arrived on Friday at 9:00 am and we did get most of the big items transferred to our new office. Nick and I spent most of Thursday and all Thursday night (without any sleep at all!) frantically boxing files, books, silk flowers, and so much more which we have accumulated over nearly 15 years in practice. Sincere thanks to Pam for her hard work helping us. I don't know what we would have done without your help, Pam! There were almost 20 boxes of books alone!
Being Holy Week has made the move even more difficult because we do feel so very strongly about keeping Holy Week focussed on spiritual priorities and participating in church services, especially on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and of course Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, we had to miss the Holy Thursday evening services because the movers were expected early on Good Friday morning. We had hoped that Friday would have been the end of the chore; but, here we are -- late Easter Sunday -- and STILL not finished! This was definitely not the way we wanted or expected to spend our Easter Sunday evening. We were supposed to be totally out of the building no later than Saturday. While I have gotten the key to my office, due to the holiday weekend, I was not able to get the keys to the new office building and we were unable to finish getting things moved-in Saturday evening or Sunday. That was a set-back we weren't anticipating.
Another delay was experienced because we are GREATLY DOWN-SIZING the office from about 1,000 sq. ft. to just under 300 sq. ft.! Needless to say, a number of things no longer fit our new space. We're still trying to re-arrange furniture and we are finding it necessary to remove some pieces. It looks like there will only be room for a small but comfortable therapy room and a small front business office. We're still trying to figure out how to fit a desk in the place! The movers spent about a half hour on Friday moving around a rather large desk and very heavy lateral file cabinet in what is now my new therapy room, only to finally decide that the desk just was not going to fit -- and that it would have to be returned to another unoccupied office suite! Those men definitely earned their pay that day! More furniture may still be taking another ride out of the office and into storage!
The bottom line is that we were unable to afford to stay in the 9th & Oklahoma Avenue office. And while I do think you will like the new location, the office suite is much, much smaller than the office space to which we have grown accustomed. Please let me or Nick know your thoughts on the new office when you finally get a chance to see it later this week.
There is a larger suite available next door in #102, but at this time, we do not have the finances to rent the space. Nevertheless, we still consider it a possibility and hope that with your help, we will be able to make Angel of Hope Wellness Center more profitable and self-supporting. As some of you may already be aware, I have operated Angel of Hope Wellness Center as my ministry. I have never turned-away people who were sincere about receiving care regardless of their ability to pay for my services. And I don't intend to start turning-away people now either.
You can help keep the Angel of Hope Wellness Center ministry alive and well by:
  • Making and keeping your regular appointments (and of course, paying for those services if you are able)
  • Referring your family, friends and acquaintances who could benefit from natural health care, counseling, hypnosis, or life coaching
  • Donations of office supplies are also appreciated: HP printer ink #21 & #22; Epson printer ink #69 series; multi-purpose printer paper

Who do you know.....?

Another option that I am considering is taking on a compatible associate to share office space and expenses as an "independent contractor".

If you are a therapist or health professional who is looking for affordable shared office space with numerous amenities including: private office, copier, fax machine, shared conference room, broadband internet access, janitorial services, plenty of free off-street parking, and wheelchair accessibility, in a Catholic Christian health and wellness center -- please phone or email me! I'd like to meet and talk with you! There is already a massage therapy office in the building, so I may not be able to bring a massage therapist onboard at Angel of Hope. And, because of the nature of my practice with hypnosis, an associate with a predominantly child practice would not be compatible (though we may be able to work out some scheduling times so the natural exuberant nature of children will not interfere with my clients who need to have a quiet environment for hypnosis).

Blessed Easter!

Wishing everyone an Easter season filled with hope, joy, and many blessings.

THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!

ANGEL OF HOPE WELLNESS CENTER'S
NEW HOME!

9401 WEST BELOIT ROAD, SUITE #104
MILWAUKEE, WI 53227

NEW PHONE NUMBER!
(414) 541-4673 --- (JUST REMEMBER: 541-HOPE)

Entrance to 9401 West Beloit Road
(There's another building which looks just like this next door to the west.)

I signed a lease on my new office this morning, got my key, and Nick & I have already moved-in a bookcase. We can start moving in immediately. I also hired the movers I used for previous office moves and they will be moving us out of our present office on Thursday morning.

Unfortunately, we will have to change the office phone number to: (414) 541-4673 (remember: 5 4 1 H O P E). But I'll have a recording for the next year on my current phone number. The new number will be hooked-up on the morning of Tuesday, April 14 (also Nick's 28th birthday!).

There are two large office buildings with white pillars in front. They are directly across the street from St. Matthias Church. Beloit Road is about one block south of 92nd & Oklahoma Avenue.

St. Matthias Church, directly across the street

There is plenty of free off-street parking in the lot behind the building and there is also a handicap entrance off the parking lot in the rear of the building. The parking lot entrance will bring you to the second floor. There are both stairs and an elevator which can take you to the lower level, where my office is east of the elevator.

Portion of Large Rear Parking Lot
Wheelchair Accessible Entrance
is located off the parking lot on the side of the building
(between the office building & apartment building)

Lower Level Reception Area & Elevator

There is also free street parking in front of the building. If you use the front main entrance, take the stairs down to the lower level and turn left at the elevators. I will be in suite #104, about 1/2 way down the hall, the third office on your left. It's only a two-room suite, but there are chairs in the entrance lobby off the elevators and main entrance and there is also a common conference room/lounge next to the elevator. The ladies' room is to the west of the elevator and conference room and mens' room is to the east (closer to my office). Eventually, I will be moving over to suite #108 (the first office to the east of the main entrance/elevator) when the carpeting and painting is finished (probably next month).

A New Springtime for Angel of Hope Wellness Center!

Despite our recent snowfall, it's springtime and a time for growth and renewal. And there will be a number of changes occurring at Angel of Hope Wellness Center in the coming weeks -- we are moving!

We are presently in the process of finding and relocating to a new office. We were previously given our "marching orders" to move by the end of March, but today we were given a short reprieve until April 11th. If you have been considering making an appointment to meet with me at the Angel of Hope Wellness Center at our present location on 9th & Oklahoma Avenue, don't wait any longer! I will continue to see clients here until Tuesday, April 7th. Because it will be Holy Week, I plan to do the bulk of the moving on Wednesday, April 8th. We will be settling into our new office before Easter. Watch this blog for more information on the new location.

Thank you for your concern and kindness regarding our loss.

As some of you may already be aware, it's been a very difficult month for us. My husband died suddenly on Saturday, March 14th, after collapsing on the job as a security guard on the night of Saturday, March 7th. Each day thereafter, his condition worsened dramatically; and on Wednesday afternoon, we learned that he had lung cancer which had already spread to his liver, lymph nodes, and colon and the kidneys were shutting down. He was already at stage 4 and there was nothing much left to do except keep him as comfortable as possible. He never smoked a day in his life, but he did work for a chemical factory for 18 years. My husband, Lee, was only 54 years old.

My son, Nick, and I want to thank all the well wishes we have received from our loyal clients and friends during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will always be cherished. For the sake of client confidentiality, I will not use any names here, but you know who you are and we are grateful for you and pray that God will bless you for your compassion.

Change

Change is never easy, but it is both inevitable and necessary for growth. There will be a number of changes occurring both in my own personal life and with the Angel of Hope Wellness Center.

We have enlisted the help of a wonderful person, Mr. Michael Morales, to assist us in strengthening and enhancing the Angel of Hope Wellness Center. Changes are coming and we are excited to have the opportunity to learn from his treasury of knowledge, experience, and skills. He has lots of ideas to grow and improve Angel of Hope and it will be fun to begin implementing his suggestions.

By the grace of God, we will not only survive these tough times, but will become stronger for them. Please keep us in your prayers and we will continue to keep you in our prayers as well.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and god of all consolation, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God. For as Christ's sufferings overflow to us, so through Christ does our consolation also overflow. If we are afflicted, it is for your encouragement and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which enables you to endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is firm, for we know that as you share in the sufferings, you also share in the consolation."

~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

~ Philippians 4:4-7
